Arroyo Seco's, approximately 1,500 village residents, are centrally located to the town of Taos and New Mexico's highest mountain, Wheeler Peak at over 13,000 feet. Taos County's sunny days statistically number 285 annually, the average high temperature in July is 81º F and for winter sports, the average low temperature in January is 9º F. Consistent with New Mexico's state capitol, Santa Fe, the village observes Mountain time zone.
